My siblings decided to play around with it, and clearly it picks up on extremely stereotypical accents but is not sophisticated enough to determine if they are ‘native’ languages vs accents. These results are from my brother’s attempts.

It insists I have ‘Spanish’ or any of the romantic languages as an accent to my native English. I’ve never lived or grew up in Europe.

The results are different every time. Fascinating! I guess it can pinpoint that I am a ‘native’ speaker in English but it can’t really place me on a map.

I guess this is the result of living in 5 different countries and learning new languages (I have 5 I’m failing to learn at the moment).

Really interesting results from the AI accent detectors. I’m a third culture kid, have an international school accent that morphed into a Canadian one. The AI could not pin point my accent really. Had to take a few tries. I tried 2 different tools & none were right.

For example: look at this Deloitte job posting, and focus on what they are looking for. Wouldn’t it be easier for them to just hire a product manager instead? Why a service designer?
