I keep seeing well meaning people from outside of the US say "why are the Americans letting this happen?" They seem to not be able to understand that they know more about what's going on than the vast majority of people here. Those of us freaking out are a tiny minority.

Very worrisome! Thanks for understanding my stance. I’ve had ppl tell me I don’t support troops/vets, but I do, wholeheartedly. I want the best for them; I just wish they didn’t HAVE to enlist just to get an education & travel. I also often don’t like what they’re ordered to do & have to experience.
