I won a teaching award! I was nominated by my students, which was lovely. Thinking about my grandmas today, who I hope would be proud of me

Very excited to be attending this talk by Patricia Owens about Erased: a history of international thought without men.

Thanks so much @researchspin.bsky.social for organising!

I'm in Sicily and yesterday we visited Mount Etna. I loved it!

I turned 35 a few weeks ago and suddenly I'm being advertised all sorts of crap. Apparently this will help my sagging face to be less hideous. I apologise in advance for making you look at my haggard visage until I can purchase whatever this is

Had a lovely day in Montpellier, but my goodness it is hot there!

I absolutely love Matt Berry and recently discovered that he makes music, too. Imagine my surprise to find a signed copy of his latest album at Rough Trade this afternoon. No idea what to expect but I'm already delighted with the purchase!

Really looking forward to running this event for my faculty shortly! Lots to think about here

I returned to a nice post-BISA message! My Sage Research Methods Case Study has been published. I wrote this because I noticed that a huge number of students now want to analyse online news articles in their projects, and some need a bit of help with design

For those at @mybisa.bsky.social conference who didn't manage to get to City Hall to see the statues Cynthia told us to look at, here you go! She's right, it is rare to see statues of women (there's also one of Queen Victoria...)

My reward for a long week of conferencing: a trip to the Giant's Causeway! Sunshine, Guinness and a Fleetwood Mac soundtrack have made this a perfect day

Yesterday's @mybisa.bsky.social keynote (delivered by Roland Bleiker) was really special. Women's labour - intellectual or otherwise - is so often erased. It was really moving (and striking) to see Emma Hutchison listed as a co-author.

An absolute dream to see Cynthia Enloe this evening for @mybisa.bsky.social conference!

Super excited to be speaking at the @mybisa.bsky.social ECR day! Should be a lovely start to the conference

Enjoyed being an interloper at this event today! It was great to attend a research-focused event at the University of Gloucestershire, and the programme was fantastic

Cheltenham was lovely and snowy yesterday!

What... on earth is this ad?
November 22, 2024 at 10:36 AM
This BBC headline is absolutely dystopian. Stigmatising and uncaring on just about every front. What on earth is the government thinking?

Going to resume my practice of emailing people to tell them I like their articles...

Spending Friday night in the coolest way possible: attempting to figure out how many episodes of Star Trek I have watched. After finishing Discovery yesterday, I believe I am at 788
