Also I will say: I usually find books that talk about the 2016 election kind of unbearable, but I thought the approach St. James took was really thoughtful and engaging.

I wrote about the book that's stayed with me the most this year: WOODWORKING by Emily St. James. My friends can attest to the fact that I couldn't stop talking about how good this book is, particularly how fully and beautifully rendered Erica and Abigail are. apps.npr.org/best-books/#...
