“At 15, she began seeing an older man and conceived her beloved daughter. It was years before she properly understood it as abuse. Now she is working tirelessly in parliament for other survivors.”

Thanks Anna Moore for telling my story so sensitively.

For too long grooming victims have been ignored.

We have a gov that says:
-we believe you
- we will find perpetrators
- they will face justice.

I have never been as proud to be part of this Labour government.

Tories leave local woman 4yrs 5mths from rape to conviction.

Labour Home Secretary meets victim, treats violence against women & girls as national emergency, helps her get justice.

Then Kemi Badenock dares to send email out saying “We Won.”

She should apologise.
June 17, 2025 at 5:44 PM
As a 15yo mum, I was told what happened was my fault.

Kemi Badenock had power, yet did not meet one victim, or speak about grooming once.

I do not know how she dares try & score points now.

Thank god we have a gov that is taking violence against women & girls seriously.

4yrs 5mths from rape to trial.

Multiple suicide attempts.

How will the PM make sure these formidable women get justice & there will be enough space in our prisons for the rapists???

Brave Bolsover women, keep bossing it.

I’ll proudly be your voice.

Women have been let down for too long.

🚨I am so pleased the government is treating violence against women and girls as the national emergency that it is. 🚨

I’ve just finished responding to the first batch of emails on this.

So many stories of bravery and courage from the phenomenal women I am proud to represent.

Stories we all wish they didn’t have.

If you’re one of the 10,554, please do keep getting in touch. ❤️
🚨Are you one of 10,554 women raped/ sexually assaulted in my constituency?🚨

Speaking in debate Tues, I want to hear your experience before then.

Shame can only change sides when we tell our stories.

Email to anonymously share yours or arrange call.

*I believe you*

Feels very strange being in Westminister with colleagues instead of South Normanton speaking to residents this morning!

Today, I’m proud to play my part as our Labour Government takes decisive action in the national interest to save British steel.

Speaking out is scary, but I feel a huge responsibility to use the platform I’ve been given.

To mark my first Mother's Day as a Nana, I spoke to the Observer about my story & why I will continue to tell it. 💕

So cool to get to write for @DailyMirror about the honour of being a woman MP on #InternationalWomensDay

We all know we still have so far to go, but it’s nice to take a minute to celebrate how far we’ve come too. 💪

⚽️ Last Parliament, football was spoken about more often than rape

🚨Call to arms🚨

📣 Let’s make it normal to speak out

❤️Listen to her - support her - believe her

💪 Let’s use this #InternationalWomensDay to *force* shame to change sides

🚨Rape is part of our story as women

🤫 It’s just a part we don’t tell.

The data tells us:

➡️As 690th woman MP ever
➡️172 MPs will have been raped
➡️86 more than once
➡️28 will have reported
➡️1 prosecution, max

Let’s use #InternationalWomensDay to change that story💪

Happy 93rd Birthday to Bolsover’s finest, the legend that is Dennis Skinner!
February 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM
A very special constituent gave birth to a baby girl this week & made me an incredibly proud Nana.

Thanks to the team at Kings Mill who looked after my daughter & granddaughter so well.

Turns out all they tell you about the privilege of becoming a grandparent is true.

Bursting with love 🥰💕
February 8, 2025 at 11:40 AM
The King remembered Dennis fondly, I got to invite him to visit Bolsover & speak to the Queen about campaign work.

As days go, this was 10/10 🎉

So many reasons why grooming victims like me often don’t speak out.

One of them, is fear perpetrator will demand access to child conceived by rape.

I am thrilled Home Sec will meet with me & other victims to discuss law change.

We finally have gov that treats VAWG as national emergency it is.
January 16, 2025 at 9:11 PM
When I spoke out about being a victim of child grooming, I never imagined a week in Westminster like this one.

Thank god we have a government that treats violence against women & girls as the national emergency it is.

So pleased to be home. ☕️

We can all agree the last government failed us.

It’s my constituents that have the pay the price.

Thank goodness they finally have a government determined to deliver for them. ⬇️
Lord Frost: "You don't make the poor richer by making the rich poorer. You have an economic policy that lifts everybody."

Natalie Fleet MP: "That didn't work over 14 years. That's what we've seen: everybody get poorer."

We can all laugh about Liz & the lettuce

But in reality her actions hurt us all

The Conservatives haven’t apologised

Instead they’ve elected more of the same.

I look back at this pic & remember the advice he gave me…I was then in a rush to ask him if he did his own social media as it was so funny.

What a man. What a legacy.

Thank you John.

May you rest in peace.
