I've stopped screaming internally, apologies to the neighbors. I need on my door: "Screaming into the infinite American void."

This is how much of an ancient crone I am. When I call John Fetterman's DC office, the number is still saved in my phone as Senator Pat Toomey.

This article about Sherrod Brown's last speech on the Senate floor made me tear up. We are the canaries now.

My former colleague & now friend Amanda Neatrour is running for City Council District 2, and I am proud to endorse her. She's dedicated her life to making people & places better, and it is a gift to our neighborhoods that she is running - check out scenes from her kickoff:

I think the Iraq War protests broke me. I went to a half dozen across 3 cities including NYC and DC. Packed streets for as long as the eye could see for miles. Largest global protests on any one day. Ever.

And the war commenced.

I was young but it was then I knew we lived in a broken country.

Exactly.

I mean, hello:

(And the "she didn't have a primary" language is straight from MAGA.)

Check out this conversation I had on the 'gram with a mediocre millennial white dude. I CANNOT.

I dropped all my lefty MAGA "friends," but occasionally a stranger will find their way beyond my defenses.

(I'm sorry I'm too triggered to do alt-text, if someone else wants to take one for the team.)
