I'd imagine it has something to do how basic empathy for your fellow man has been programmed out of people. That or black and white thinking; that things are either good or bad with no middle ground or nuance.

This is essentially what I like Resonite for, just white boxing an idea and rapidly iterating in VR. With the additional option to collaborate with a friend in real time.
