I like tea, banjos, plants. You know, that sort of thing.
I saw your subject line about the economic beacon and my first thought was "and cousin scroop will answer!" Seriously just dropped about 80 bucks with you all this morning - I just discovered your shadow self and it rocked my world. Hope it helps!

It's like everyone on the right don't believe that sometimes shitty things happen. If something bad happens to you, you must have done something to deserve it. You go broke, you pissed off God. Other bad things, pissed off God. Die of a deadly disease, you weren't healthy to begin with.

I didn't know these existed and now I'm going to have to find them to help with my coping.

Agreed. For years I've begrudgingly held the vote blue no matter who line, but they have failed the American people this cycle egregiously and I can't stomach it.

For big box brands, Pukka has one that is chamomile, honey, and vanilla that is lovely. And I LOVE stash's cinnamon and vanilla. For tea shops, there's this place called tea market in Kansas City that has a rooibos called Sugar Cookie. They do ship!

I love rosemary but never thought of it as a tea herb. How do you prepare?

Printers Alley is delightful, I loved wandering Carter Vintage Guitars, Third Man is neat.

Even if you don't see a show, the tour is pretty cool.

What are some aged white teas that you recommend?

I love these books, and I love that Octavia Butler is getting more attention because she so deserves it, but I wish people were reading these because they're brilliant, and not because they're prescient.

Everyone of these yahoos needs to get primaried. They are willfully ignoring what is happening either out of cowardice or they are standing to profit somehow. Maybe a combination of the two.

Love TF. I haven't been in a few years, but it's such a joyous special festival. And some fantastic documentaries.

You've gotten a lot of great recommendations. Two places I enjoyed that I haven't seen mentioned are Stirling and the stone circle at Machrie Moor.

I second Loch Lomond. One of my favorite places on earth.

The Clockwork Orange pub crawl? I've done that. You get quite intoxicated. I ended up going to a concert I don't even remember.

That line gets me every time. I'm not a huge fan of Ben stiller as an actor, but he nails that line.

Use a fake email and a VPN. I love the idea, but protect yourself.

You're welcome! There's a whole world of tea out there that I'm just beginning to get in to.

Lapsang souchong is one of my favorites. I usually get these from specialty tea shops. There's this lady in Alaska, Felicity Loft, who has a lapsang souchong with mushrooms in it that is wonderful. Jasmine green teas are have a nice floral flavor and you can get it in bags.

What kind of flavors do you typically gravitate towards? Smoky? Herbaceous? Floral? Grassy? Do you want tea bags or are you willing to go loose leaf? What's your price point?

That sounds like a lot of fun. Adding it to the list.

Shut the front door, is this a blend you made or bought?
