I agree, it’s devastating for the loved ones of those gone missing. What I meant was that people have been using that quote as an excuse to not support a ceasefire. There’s no logic in that, as not only thousands of innocents are being killed in Gaza, but also places the hostages at great risk.

That was exactly my point too and got myself permanently suspended on X. There is no logic to the argument that’s on everyone’s lips: ‘but the hostages’.. can’t they see the devastation levels in Gaza? There doesn’t appear to be any concern for their safety on Israel’s behalf.
