Got a banner notification in YT Studio about how there is a new settings option about allowing 3rd parties to train based on your content, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the settings, that it was off by default.
Notification in YouTube studio alerting me of the new settings option related to allowing AI use my content as training data, with a link to the view the option in my settings Third-party training settings in YouTube studio. The option to Allow third-party companies to train AI models using my channel content is off by default. Underneath the option to turn it on, there is extra context: If you select this option, YouTube may share your videos with a third-party company provided that you and all other applicable rights holders have chosen to allow that company. The training permission status of all videos will be available through a publicly accessible interface.
