It’s November. Q: What shrub appears to have white Pom-poms? A: Autumn willow (Salix serissima). Female trees produce seeds surrounded by hairy tufts. We have a few clumps of them hiding among the cedars.

33 years ago this month I was in New Jersey doing a pharmacoeconomic rotation with Dr Steve Arikian as part of the UofT PharmD program and I was really hoping the Blue Jays would win again this year!
