I hope to see the same level of understanding, compassion, and intellectual resources to be dedicated to young children in Sweden who are victims of gang grooming and violence. The clock is ticking, yet the discourse remains unchanged; the same tired narrative continues to play, like a broken record

Unfortunately, this issue is often overlooked. There is an urgent need to recognise the harmful impact of structural racism on development and well-being. We must move beyond traditional health narratives and address the structural discriminatory practices on health and access to adequate care.

I wanted to share this post because it highlights how racism impacts individuals throughout their lives, influencing multiple aspects of their experiences and opportunities. As a researcher, I consider this as an important point to be taken into account in planning and executing research projects.
