Yea I suppose it could be, but I think your hopes are founded. I think if it was intended to be paid, it would've been paid from the start of the pass, or have a free and paid track like the season pass.

I'm doubtful it was deliberately tuned to force purchase. They could make it so it's possible doing every single daily or something and still get sales without the horrible PR of making it forced to pay. Wouldn't quite add up to me. I'm guessing that hardware was supposed to give progress but bugged

Oh I had thought that when it returned it would be with a new featured weapon type and a new rewards pass. I could be wrong though

FYI the daily challenges and weekly challenge aren't enough to finish the pass. 24 possible dailies (with the free reroll tokens) gives 12 ranks, and the weekly gives 2.25 ranks, leaving you at 14.25 on the pass.
I'm guessing that hardware was supposed to give event pass progress, but it doesn't rn

FYI the arms week event pass can't be completed. Idk, maybe the crucible playlist was supposed to give progress? But currently the dailies and week lies aren't enough to finish the pass.
