We haven't been able to visit mum and dad lately due to lots of Uni assessments and ice skating events, but now we have a relaxing morning at our parents' house.

Our magpie friend saw Naruto on the balcony, and immediately visited us. 🐦‍⬛🤍🖤

What are you reading?

Naruto always wants to read with me. Currently we are reading The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to have any sentient plants like in the book; I don't think they'd like Naruto nibbling on their leaves very much at all.

Naruto, mid-crawl. It is hard work and requires liberal use of beak. Naruto has finally reached his goal of being on top of the book, perched on the bookstand. All his hard work crawling and climbing has paid off. Now he can relax... and I can read.

Naruto has a new favourite spot: on my desk chair. He'll sit and relax while I'm studying and playing cosy games like The Sims or Elden Ring to relax. He will occasionly get annoyed at my arms getting in his way when I'm typing. How dare I take over his space!

Time to chop up the frozen fruit and berries for my little bird! The current selection is: dragonfruit; strawberry; rasberry; blueberry; blackberry; cherry (not pits!); pineapple; mango; and passionfruit. I make my smoothies with the frozen fruit and berries too, so good! Hopefully my fussy cockatiel will eat more than a bite or two 🤪 Put in the freezer to last. He has a selection of balanced maintenance pellets, fruit and herb blend with seed, and a tasty treet mix as a snack. Naruto! Get off the treat mix, I need to open that for you 🤭 Looks like he can't wait, he dove straight into the pellets hehehe. I also caught him take a big gulp of water after! Rare I catch my cockatiel drinking water, they seem to never drink anything while you are watching 🫣

Naruto and I moved house on the weekend! We were staying at my parents house, but now have our own little place to rent. We had a two hour car drive, and Naruto really loved it. We sang together pretty much the whole drive. Naruto really loves car rides 🦜❤️🚗
I took Naruto out of his cage when we stopped at the service station. Gave him lots of cuddles. Halfway there! Naruto exploring our new home. Here he is on a door, it is the highest vantage point to scout out the surroundings. My cockatiel is a very accomplished pianist. If I try to play while he is on the piano, he pecks my fingers, how dare I interrupt his music! 🦜🎹 I went shopping for a broom, but ended up side tracked and discovered these cute pink bird slippers! I got two pairs hehe.
