So glad I could join the AVIZ alumni lunch @ IEEE VIS 2025 and catch up with past and present AVIZ folks. My sabbatical with the Aviz Team was a highlight of my career. I absolutely loved my time there with a fantastic group and all the stimulating discussions and talks. hashtag#ieeevis

Back from IEEE VIS 2025, feeling inspired & energized. I presented our work on ClAImate, chaired “The VIS for GenAI” session and co-organised a lively panel on "IEEE VIS Reviews", so many thoughtful comments and great audience energy.

Such a disappointing start to #ieeevis 2025 for us remote attendees. No live streaming so best we get is a vicarious experience of a discord channel discussing details we cannot see.

This is a major step backward in an era where travel options are constrained both environmentally and politically.
