I've seen four @baysideband.bsky.social shows this year and holy fuck do they kick ass.

i just read The Barrow Will Send What it May by @margaret.bsky.social and i think it made me reconnect with being poor like 4 years ago and the class anxiety i have now which is neat

hanging out with folks around pax always feels really good. there are in fact a ton of cool people making cool shit out there and it's good to see them all at once

I feel sorta insane looking at public opinion about Gaza and Iran. Like yeah I've had Palestinian and Iranian friends but I don't think that's what makes me think bombing them is bad.

Holy fuck the @baysideband.bsky.social errors tour is amazing. I almost wish there was more Worse Things than Being Alive and Interrobang this show, they kick so much ass.

Looks are on point this tour too, grey really suits Jack O'Shea.

We should consider solving loneliness among train crews via large homoerotic groups or men or women driving the train together, if you get what i mean.

It's pretty fucking insane how we just sorta accept a bunch of loud tubes in the sky that well off people use cannot be asked to not be loud around places where people live.

God yeah, I get the MC mod landscape. Things have in fact not come further and people wanting to make cool things have *more* boilerplate in front of them than were they to start from scratch. It's bad. Nothing on #neoforge or #fabric, mc itself does this!
March 3, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Yeah jeez, reading back through my code on mc 1.5, modding's gotten a lot *worse* in the past decade. It used to be that making a mod was pretty easy, and compatibility and configuration were a bit complex. Now it's entirely the opposite! It's a wonder anybody finishes anything.

Finally had the itch to make a minecraft mod after like a decade and holy shit this is a lot weirder than I remember. Using #neoforge and its like why is this worse than modern C# game development 😭

Gosh the AI stuff is getting bad isn't it. Enjoyed @freya.bsky.social's video on it, I've prolly learned a bit too far into the faith that it's gonna go away until now but yeah, that it's totally incongruent with human production of stuff and the genuine terror that comes with that is my feel too.

life is strange double exposure is perhaps the worst game i've ever played and in fact the worst 17.5 hours i've ever spent experiencing a piece of media. pure trash.

It drives me insane how every community of marginalized people reproduces incredibly stupid hierarchies.

We really aughta take every road closure as an opportunity to evaluate whether we can close the thing for good.

There's something really bizarre about the way a lot of suburban americans privilege their kids in a bunch of ways - then forget the actual wealth transfer that'd do the generational wealth thing. I think generational wealth is bad but like, this is just acting against your own interest!???

Every spring I realize I was basically dead the whole winter and I'm an entirely different person in the sun.

Y'know I've always wanted to hike one of these big thru hikes but it's really kinda seeming like it's mostly an option if you're super financially stable. Not great :/

I find it really interesting that we're so small business pilled in this country that a person making necklaces for sale at fairs is excited to talk about their small business and uses the same language as a person that owns a subway and works very little, while paying their employees min wage.

I think it's rather fascinating how unique experiences are between certain urban/suburban/exurban/rural. It really feels as if the classic classification is yet less useful for analysis socially and economically. These are all such fundamentally different ways of living day to day

Good cocktail bars are a distinct advantage of city living. I never got these kinds of fantastic libations in midwest suburbs or small towns!

Jee whiz who woulda thunk an attention economy incentivizing more than a video a week coulda led to this

Finally finished messing around with this basic reference art of my sona, Ruin. Eventually I'll make a real ref sheet, but for now I'm pretty happy with this design.
