I had an argument with someone on Xitter about this crosswalk when it was originally installed, and he justified it because there’s a sidewalk on the north side of Broadway leading to this point from the east, and it crosses to the south side at the park.

We’re barely visible in the group photo, just to the left of Chewbacca. Luckily we have a better photo just of us.
