I guess ultimately I don't want a relationship in which someone is bound to me by rules or because they can't have the things they have with me with anyone else, but one in which I'm chosen and wanted even if they can act as they please, and if I'm not chosen and wanted then what's the point anyways

jealousy isn't necessarily dangerous, I'm often jealous, it's usually just trying to tell something, usually as you say fear of something, maybe being left behind, and I think we can find security not in rules but in being chosen and in the feelings we have towards each other
