biggungirl had an SMG in game...if they somehow ever bring her back, I do hope she gets to enjoy a much bigger gun

It was super weird that you spend the game getting everyone together, do ONE thing with them, then head for the last area. I'd have liked to return to old areas with different combinations of companions to see how they interact with each other.

I'm still listening to it all, but it's great. Should've made it in the game, characterizes them more and builds on the Metroid universe

Better yet, they can animate all of these! youtu.be/zXkXBIabO04?...

Omg I can't remember where, but there was a hilarious fanart comic where someone drew Samus flirting at a bar and she's just squawking cuz she doesn't know how humans flirt

I like to imagine that being raised by birds, she doesn't know how to interact with normal people and has a lil bit of social anxiety. She's always aura farming in hopes that it'll make them like her

Sylux also isn't even confident enough to properly face Samus when he first appears in Prime Hunters. He calls his gunship down to help AND STILL LOSES. He's always been completely inferior to her.
Sylux melees with his gun, Weavel has an energy arm blade! Weavel is way cooler!

ALSO, crystals in shrines do not show up on radar. I mostly cleared them out before getting the upgrade and didn't know this for a while

Check the shrines. There's a cluster in the thunder one or something behind a pillar that fills up like 10% of the bar. I was losing my mind before I found it.

The problem is the joy con uses gyro instead of an IR sensor like the Wii did. Changing out of morph ball or other actions centers the reticule regardless of how you're holding the controller. I was recentering my aim multiple times every minute. It took a while to adapt to but eventually felt good.

Sylux's 100% cutscene makes it even weirder that it's him in the game. Also, Weavel is a cybernetic space pirate! He should be the one leading a ton of space pirates!

idk if it's cuz I've played the other Prime games, but there wasn't a single moment in MP4 where I looked at something and went "what is that, how do I get there?" They played it way too safe and didn't introduce anything substantially new to explore with. I really miss the old head scratchers 😭

Samus does EVENTUALLY expresses a bit with body language. It's still awkward by the end, but she clearly cares about the other characters. The story feels like the Episode Aether manga, so I can only assume they wanted to make her hesitant to get emotionally attached, but it's really poorly conveyed

imo, areas do not get better in the second half. The return to areas is also unsatisfying. There's no shortcuts linking areas, so you have to cross the desert every single time. You get back, unlock 1 path that spans like 3 rooms rather than anything substantial, then leave.

I remember Dread's grapple beam sequence break specifically cuz it required a slide into a gravity defying jump off of nothing. Never would've figured that out on my own.

Samus: 🤨

I don't recall how it worked in Prime 3, but in Prime 1 and 2 you could turn off hints. I like that it's there for if you need it, and if you don't you can just not use them. Turning off tutorials should have done the same for Myles' help. It's such a simple fix that idk why they didn't do it

Oh my gosh I love this they're so cute together!
December 9, 2025 at 6:58 AM
I suppose, but in both cases it's a head on fight. The fight in the volcano where he or a drone mimicking him uses a gunship felt a lot more like Sylux to me. We know he can't beat her head on, so I want to see him be cunning and use resources, traps, or even additional enemies to try and beat her.

Careful, hard mode can have some crazy damage! That teleporting bot took out like 2 of my energy tanks in one hit! 💀
