For #InternationalWomensDay tomorrow, I talked to HDR UK about 1) how to inspire more women into health data science and 2) what I'd say to women considering it as a career.

How do we inspire women? By highlighting impact, demonstrating it is more than just statistics or programming, and showcasing women in data science. The varied skills involved, the collaborative nature, and the ability to make a difference makes it so rewarding. What would I say to someone considering data science: Do it! For health data science to be successful we need diverse groups of scientists pushing the boundaries of what's achievable. Data science is rewarding and inclusive and I've managed to juggle exciting scientific projects with family commitments.
