That’s a great analogy ! And yes in regards to follower account I agree. A lot of people just focus on increasing their followers versus an engaged community no matter the size !!

And if Instagram sees your post is working well with your existing followers that’s when it will push it out to non followers … sorry for the spam but social media is also one of my expertise now that im a full time content creator / work with creators on their social media presence :)

I would also say that single posts are poor for engagement even with followers. Instagram awards attention as that is its currency . Single posts = 1 second of attention. I tell my clients you will grow with carousels even if it’s just growing engagement with existing followers

Adding music to carrousels puts them in the reel algorithm and amps up engagement and consequently conversion - most people think there is only one algorithm on Instagram. There are 3 - one for stories, posts and reels
