What is your fave time of day? Mine is absolutely the evening when my kiddo is home. We take pup for a walk, eat dinner, play Mario Kart, and then they eat cookies while I read to them. We’re currently reading The Ember In The Ashes series and they are LOVING it as much as I always have. 💕

Appreciate Aussie Secondhand Bookshop in Logan Village for stocking my book alongside other local authors at the front of the store. 🥰

I listened to the Gender Explorers audiobook while cleaning on the weekend. The author shares interviews with trans kids. I walked around cleaning & crying like a weirdo. But hearing kids share their experience, and reflecting on my trans non-binary kid’s experience hit close to home. Please read.

What do you do to re-inspire yourself and get back into creative flow when it’s lacking? Some things I do:

🌳 Go hiking amongst the trees
📖 Take a reading break
💤 Get more sleep
☕️ Make (another) drink
✍️ Turn to my journal
🙆 Do some stretching or move
✂️ Make time to craft
🐶 Pause for puppy cuddles

Excited to have reached my first milestone of 100 book sales, with 103 awesome people having purchased my book. Thanks so much for the support. I was terrified when I hit publish and you each have helped me build the confidence to keep going. 🥰

I have sold 92 books since releasing my first poetry collection, You Will Find Your Way, in May. Would be so cool to reach the 100 milestone by the end of the year. If so, I think I’ll book myself a hiking getaway as research for my next book in celebration. 🥰🤩📚

I know from my work with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation that reading changes lives. I hope that if more people learn about the history of Palestine it can help us better understand the situation and pressure our government to urgently save lives.
