It is very hot and humid today. 91⁰F and 61% humidity. Yeti needed an extended bench rest and I don't blame him. Even with the clouds this sticky air is 🥵

I was on vacation last week in Colorado and it was glorious. But there's nothing quite like home either. Spent yesterday afternoon with neighbors at a pool, then pizza at their house before walking to get ice cream together. Life is good.

In Klaipeda, Lithuania, where I studied abroad in college, there is a statue of a girl inspired by a poem. When Hitler visited in 1939, he addressed the public from the theatre balcony behind the statue. He ordered the statue removed because her back was turned. www.inyourpocket.com/klaipeda/ann...

For some Friday fun: My kindergartener has written and illustrated two books at the kitchen table this week. Both about an alligator and friends. Here's one of the pages:

Does anyone have any suggestions for puppy proofing a Christmas tree?

First Christmas with our 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel who will eat every little toy our kids leave around and can stand on his hind legs tall enough to reach the counter...😬

It was as delicious as it looks. Brought it for a dinner with friends. I think I might need to make another one sometime soon! Yum.

My beautiful grandma is in hospice. She's 93. It's hard to imagine a world without her in it. I love her so.
