I’m officially about to start at my FIRST full time salary job! I’m 40. One day I’ll go in about how being #autistic and #neurodivergent can make securing a FT job incredibly difficult or how many of us struggle with under- and unemployment, but for now I’m just grateful to get some bills paid off.

Real talk: “Handlebars” by Flobots has been hitting way differently than it did when it was first released. Especially those last few stanzas. They have a “Parable of the Sower”-type energy that’s got me worried.

If you told me 10 years ago that the GOP would bully an corp., pardon cop-beaters, be okay w/ pdf files, deport Cubans, or attack a Bishop for preaching the word, I’d call you a liar. Yet all these things happened in the past 9 days. Imagine how much further they’ll devolve in another 1,400 days…

I really wish there were more news outlets willing to report on this current mess without hiding pertinent information behind paywalls. It’s really telling how outwardly conservative news outlets don’t have them &, as a result, are more likely to be the ones most linked to and read.

Question: has bird flu always been this bad? I’m a millennial that was born in the 80’s and I don’t ever remember a time my mom came home angrily from the store because eggs had tripled in price. Don’t know if that’s a me thing or a “everything is worse now because of climate change” thing.

I don’t know who needs to hear this or why this even needs to be said, but here goes *deep breath*: #autism is NOT a valid excuse to be racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, and/or just an overall problematic dick. STOP blaming shitty behavior on autism! Some people are just shitty.

2, 4, and 8 for me

One thing that always confuses & confounds me as an #autistic #neurodivergent adult is figuring out how many times should you say hello to someone. I went from never saying hello unless greeted first to over correcting and saying hello to people multiple times a day, even if I saw them earlier.

#TikTok died, full stop. The thing coming back to life now isn’t TikTok anymore but a zombie meant to serve once specific master & guess who it is. Watch it turn into a pure propaganda machine where any criticism of the incoming regime is blocked.

Dang, TikTok just shut off the lights and locked the doors while people were still inside shopping. No countdowns or flickering lights or nothing. Cold-blooded.

I finally saw Wicked &, as someone who only read the book in high school, didn’t know anything about the songs or musical, can I just say that I get it. The hype, the songs, even their chemistry & weepy interviews. I’m kind of dreading part 2 and seeing ol’ girl melt. Ya’ll, I’m not ready!
