Before the ACA, I was turned down for a policy which was $325 monthly, a $10,000 deductible, a lifetime cap of $million, and excluded amputation (already done, by a car), cancer (over twelve years prior so legally not considered pre-existing after ten years), and reproductive system. Turned down.

Somebody tell him he's not daddy, and he doesn't have the right to make those decisions.

I bet if he asks the UK's former ambassador to the U.S., fired last week, he could tell him!

A trained, multi-year professional says people should be murdered, apologizing the next day, probably under pressure from his superiors and you think he should be praised? If he should begin working at a homeless shelter, raising money for mental health, and more, maybe then. You're wrong.Apologize.

Years back I could do a search for wealth ranking by nation after removing the half percent - 0.5% - wealthiest people worldwide. Without those included the US dropped. Perhaps we shouldn't describe the US as the wealthiest country but as the country with the most wealthiest at the top.

Well, yes, kinda. NIH lays down the groundwork and then the private sector picks it up from there. The private sector comes in when more value is possible. Also, you mustn't forget how much research and development is done on existing medications for existing meds, to keep patents on them.

Yes, he's a party man. Mostly. He already has an opponent gearing up to run against him - who's complete right-wing, Trump MAGA, and ahead in polls by 13 points. Where is the Democrat opponent? I'll hold my nose and vote for Cassidy before voting for his sole challenger. (John Bel Edwards will not.)

Oh, my mistake. It's the other enforcers not wearing masks. I wish I'd been right.
June 4, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Well, at least this time they didn't wear masks.

Break into a house, steal all the valuables, get caught, you'll probably get jail time. Embezzle the life savings of dozens of people, including elderly, you may be fined for less than you stole, probably get probation. Some of those must serve time but too few.

The flailing president is not playing at 19th century political economics. On some level - unconscious as almost all are in his brain - he understands he's nearer the end and wants to destroy what he cannot take with him.

Right now, we need no defense of tariffs. Dems should be pushing back - hard - against these neophytes who believe they can read a term and thus become an expert. Stop them. Be legislators.
