My local (alcohol in a) bottle shop next to a not so super market, has a nifty carboard clock which indicates the expected return time. Very thoughtful.

Looks like some insurance companies are trying out strategies to assess risks to large commercial properties, (and making $), with the apparent aim of reducing claims and premium increases. Will be interesting to see if this approach gets traction.

Odd how the "rule of law" depends on whether a person or a group of people (or country), can, for political reasons, be considered as being unworthy to be afforded rights and due process by those in power.

Also set up the Rural Reconstruction Commission. Produced many reports over a couple of years until 1946. Lucky to have 8th report in late 1945 about Irrigation. Most of the insights ignored over the next 80 years, particularly in respect of irrigation from the Murray River in SA.
