You’re giving him too much credit in this case. He simply doesn’t know any of the names of the potential candidates for Pope, or their positions, because he takes little interest in the subject/is too thick to comprehend it all - hence the stupid reply. He is a narcissist as well, of course. :)

I do believe there have always been people like this through out history. Amplified and cemented by social media, we are now given a close up of their troubling views. Don’t fret, nihilism is nothing new, but the platform to air has expanded and capability to infect others has grown worryingly so.

But, this all feels very purposeful to me. They’re trying to cause global unrest and damage the economic system - to what end is the question. I’m always leaning towards intentional destruction rather than unintentional. We can’t risk a failure of imagination here.

Regular people will never get exactly what they want in politics. Although I think most people did, it hurts to think there were those who refused to vote for the bigger picture. They risked losing everything. When there’s no viable alternative, why abstain or worse? It makes no sense to me either.

Hey, sorry, I was referring to their use of the app, instead of the usual secure government lines of communication - seemingly to keep things out of archive - and suggesting that this, in it self, is nefarious. I wasn’t saying this particular conversation indicated anything nefarious in content.

This!!! Calling it stupid completely undermines the nefarious nature of it all! They are conducting significant government business on essentially a burner app. Think of what else is going on there. When this is all over, there will be no evidence to gather a case against them.

100%. Responsibility needs to be taken for the shift. Obviously it’s also vital to make clear this happened in June 2024 and other examples are coming to light pre-Labour solely for the fact that the present Home Office are now investigating how they could have happened.

It’s because he’s promised Putin (and everyone else) that he will end the war but has zero idea how to do that. Now he’s getting desperate and the only known route to him is bullying and extortion. We all know this about him, but the level of man-baby-stamping-his-feet here is wild.

It’s all there. We need to keep our eyes open. I’m seeing far too much of the left and centrist overreacting to these twists in the right wing narrative - almost like glimmers of hope. It’s a trick. They do not share your views. See them for what they are, and what they’re trying to do.

When you surround yourself with loads of people blowing smoke up your arse for long enough, this is what happens. It’s a level of unwarranted self-assuredness which unthinkable to most people. He just said Italians are Italy but there are also buildings there… and that comment gets applause.

You’re right, and in doing so the Mail meet in horseshoe formation with the left-wing backlash against Trump’s state visit. They’re trying desperately to undermine this Government, and they are prepared to go against type to do it.

The main reason why Bannon hates Musk is because he knows Musk is a nihilistic troll (still dangerous, I add) but only out for himself. We must not forget that Bannon is the real deal fascist here, and is in his ideologies, a more dangerous man. He should not be venerated under any circumstances.

Came here for this. If idolising Bannon shows anything at all is that we’re in absolute dire straights. There was plenty of in-fighting in the Nazi party too. They were still all Nazis.
