You're welcome! At some point, Gmail did an update where they changed where certain emails would go. I usually just type in the search to find specific emails at this point.

Someone I had discussed this with said it was their email app not giving them notifications for the AO3 posts, kudos, etc. they found all of their notifications in their email (on the website) under a different category though, but the app wasn't pushing notifications for some reason.
