I found a piece of chalk and wrote a message on this miniature chalkboard Christmas ornament who knows HOW many years ago! 😃 Every year the ornament gets a prominent place on our tree. Over the years the chalk may smear, but the sentiment never changes! ❤️

Having solar panels on the roof, we have a $13 electric bill most months when others pay many times that. A disadvantage is that after a heavy snow the panels have to be cleared to keep collecting that free power. Larry's clearing the panels right now with a long-handled scraper that pulls snow off.

The day before Thanksgiving & I'm making a cherry pie. My sister made her crusts from scratch but mine come from the freezer compartment at Kroger! 😄 Lattice top is another frozen crust that I rolled flat with a rolling pin then cut into strips. I rolled any remaining dough into balls to add decor.

A tiny Dwarf Alberta Spruce arrived in my mail today, along with a few gold-ball ornaments to make it feel like it's really a Christmas tree! 😄 This baby tree be put in an appropriate display place during the holiday season, then in spring will be planted outdoors. Now I think it needs a name.... 😃

I’ve felt deceived, that everything about the America I grew up in had vanished. I couldn’t fathom that this was our country having traveled all of it.
