As someone who has always been very patriotic, a member of the DAR, somehow I really am not feeling much like celebrating this July 4th..my American flag is out but my heart is broken for my country..💔

I am hoping that we are watching the next Speaker of the House after the next midterm election!! Thank you, Hakeem Jeffries for speaking so eloquently and with such passion!! This is what we need!!

My maternal ancestors came from Holland, thrived here and fought in Revolutionary War against an authoritarian government and King! They certainly didn’t fight for Donald Trump to declare himself King and supreme leader!! #NoKings

My older brother contracted polio as a two-year-old and it affected him his entire life… I will never forget how happy my parents were when the polio vaccine became available for us to not have to go through that again!!
