As a half Spaniard with a lifetime of being surrounded by Spanish and Latin culture, I think we don’t really have a word like that because we welcome the affection other groups of people give us. We are happy to share our cooking and culture with anyone who appreciates it.

Yup, and game key cards allow a product to be displayed on a shelf at a fraction of the cost of true physical cartridges, and they allow the consumer to transfer ownership when done. They get a bad rap, but it’s mostly from rage bait content creators trying to get clicks.

They’re not evil. Copyright law requires owners to protect their IP when it is used without approval. Otherwise they forfeit that copyright.
Charging $80 for a game is just a logical next step in gaming, very soon it will be the standard for AAA Games. I bet GTA6 will be around that or higher.

Don’t forget the cost to the developer for the physical 64gb cartridge adds overhead that the 3rd party developer would normally not have with other consoles since the storage medium is so new. Therefore doing a low storage option with a simple install key gives that dev more profit margin.

What isn’t clear is how you turn an image of physical games & Nintendo’s solution to provide a physical item for a digital game so that consumers can resell or transfer ownership, into an indictment of Nintendo. Especially when every manufacturer is moving away from physical games. It’s invalid.

For anything. The world is moving to digital games. At least Nintendo has a physical game key card that allows you to transfer ownership. This is a losing battle, and Nintendo isn’t the only company going digital. Many PS5 and XBOX disks require downloads & installation & can’t be played off a disk.
