I spent Easter weekend in Barley, at the foot of Pendle Hill where my mothers lived (and where we scattered some of her ashes), then over to stay with my childhood best friend via Sylvia Plath’s grave. I am digesting a lot of emotions.

Johanna Hedva’s “How To Tell When We Will Die: on pain disability and doom” is incredible. I’ve cried a few times already. Essential reading for, well anyone really, but as someone who is chronically ill it is especially special.

I made a rule that I wasn’t going to buy anything in January apart from food, experience, and necessary things. “But we need a calendar” I thought, until I remembered I have paint pens and loads of nice thick paper. Now we have a calendar.
