It’s not about “having the cards”, it’s about America and the UK honouring their commitment to Ukrainian sovereignty signed in the 1997 Budapest Memorandum. Russia invaded them, broke the agreement, now you hold up your end of the agreement and attack Russia. Why would Ukraine sign another deal?
