"his dopp kit overflowing with prescriptions." Again, in my 30+ year experience treating substance abusers: opioid addicts stay "well" by abusing many other drugs / medications; and opioid addicts frequently lie about their "recovery", because they cannot ever feel normal without opioids on board.
