I was an advisor to a former Dem member…1 of your colleagues, and spoke to the dccc and some allied partners in 22 about preparing for a new electorate, new mediums to target, and shifts in voter priorities, r strats, etc. As per usual…nada was done.

The dems NEVER listen to any voices outside of the bubble until it’s too late! A huge prob is yall take 2 yrs to figure out where you went wrong and by then the electorate has already changed, and the r’s have already been playing on a new field.

This isn’t necessarily true. The other side has been communicating in other vacuums quite effectively. Ignoring those platforms has cost us a lot.

If the Dems can’t adequately direct willing participants to do what’s useful, how can we blame them?

Ex: in the 2016 cycle I worked on both r and d races for candidates I was committed to. On the r side, we used social media to do all sorts of micro targeting and easily realized “organic” social proof was more persuadable than typical ads…the dems refused to color outside the box there and lost.

If the party wants to be competitive again, they need to be exposed to the realities of life outside the belt and how influence is being administered. They need to be a little more psyop and a lot less preachy. They need to stop thinking that the campaigns of 2 years ago will work again

As is always the case w DC and Dems, they were fascinated but dismissive. I sent a warning about what cld happen in 2024 if they continued to lag behind these trends. Again, was ignored and the dems cont’d to color inside the lines during the cycle.

I found social listening software tht I cld program alt media threads to and wrote a report on the changing media channels and influence campaigns to the dccc and some national partners.

I saw messaging being tested much earlier than what was finally released to the mainstream. I saw how the alt right was being organized and how new influence campaigns were being launched for demos that the Dems were missing the mark on…

In 2022 I was fully committed to my longtime friend and colleague (D)congressional reelection. I had been studying the changing trend of the right’s SM activities and obsessively started following accounts on telegram, rumble, red pill, discord, etc.
