It’s been a brutal week and in some ways I feel guilty even being here. But this was a long time bucket list and so here we go. I’m ready to soak it all in and appreciate what life gives me in good times and bad. Thank goodness for the music ✌️💜🎶🙏🕉️

It’s been a great week traveling the State, meeting people, hearing their stories, listening and learning. It’s been humbling, it’s been uplifting and above all reaffirming that changes is needed, change is wanted and change is coming. Time to #LiftUpNevada

One of my graduating seniors brought this to me today. I have so much to say about the story behind it, what this gift means to me and the student who created it. But I’ll save it for another time, for now enjoy the rewards of being a teacher. @katvanzandt.bsky.social

My Nana worked at the original Snelgroves. So many family memories were made there. When they closed it was like a death in the family. Once again they’re open and watching her eat her favorite Burnt Almond Fudge cone today was priceless

Took my 104 year old Nana back to her old neighborhood and to the house that was built by my great grandfather, her father in law. It’s now a bookstore so she was able to go inside and explore. When the owners heard her connection to the house, they wanted to get a photo of us for the store.

My heart is full! My soul restored, my spirit fired up! What a great day in SLC at the #HandsOff protest.
