I need someone to explain to me why it’s always “if you can’t pay rent, buy fewer lattes and avocado toasts” and not “if you can’t pay your employees a living wage, buy fewer yachts, rockets and presidents”.

The Wall Street Journal published an opinion piece, where the writer blamed the 2008 housing crisis on Obama easing regulations. Only problem? Obama didn't take office until 2009. I expect more from the WSJ, but I guess I shouldn't. 🤦🏼♀️

Got to say I LOVE the Trump Administration negotiating to get Rare Minerals from Ukraine, for 2 reasons:
1. It reduces our dependence on China for Lithium and Graphite (China provides near 70% of world supply)
2. More than 50% of those minerals are in Russian Annexed land.

Apparently, this is disrespectful on NextDoor... "None of his nominations are qualified...but the checks and balances that are supposed to protect us are cowards and sycophants." Commenting on the coup is disrespectful... but cheering on the pardoned of insurrectionists is just fine.

1 A Trumper acquaintance of mine texted today to complain that the state has denied his daughters medicaid claim. She is 28 and has CP. He's devastated by the news, so I reminded him that this is what he voted for. He is also a veteran who is undergoing cancer treatments.

Tried to refill a prescription...guess what? I need a new prior authorization...because some guy at headquarters knows more about my health than the doctor who has been treating me for years. I am fed up with insurance companies who care more about their bottom line than my actual life.
