I’ve been living in an almost exclusively blue bubble, which made the last election even more unbearable. I need to find out what most people are thinking and talking about. I still subscribe to @motherjones.com and @treadres.bsky.social and many substacks

Where are the Democratic press conferences? Town halls? Organized demonstrations? We are now in an authoritarian country and I can’t find a single article in @nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com where Dem leaders are standing up in a big way. I don’t count posting on Bluesky and X as action steps

I don’t get why the AMA and other medical organizations are not holding daily press conferences to combat the misinformation about vaccines and other falsehoods. It’s great that individual med professionals speak out, but there should be a group too big to ignore
