The world is incredibly hard & slow to change. Impatient people who try often only deliver wasteful spectacle. Waste money, waste time, waste lives, waste goodwill, to increase e-mail traffic when you set out to change a government prudently designed to make its mistakes slowly

In my own house, I never attempt to cook anything more complex than tea, and even that I burn. When I travel, I try to push out of my comfort zone. And every damn time, the result looks like this. SMH

The poorer countries wanted $500-billion. The richer ones argued it down to $300-billion. And, they are likely to give only some of that, mostly to consultants in their own countries — to advise ‘recepient’ countries.
