We still call some games metroidvanias. Other games are roguelikes. Others still are roguelites. 4X is a shorthand that saves you zero time, because you almost always still have to explain it to someone.

Using something like Microsoft Sam or even no voices in your game isn't the same thing and is more of an artistic choice.

The problem isn't that a voice actor hasn't been hired. The problem is that they're hiring people and archiving their voices so they can give them less work and pay them less.
