We are not talking about a "biological" male. We are talking about a 16 year old trans girl. These are not the same. Not the same socialization, lived experience, or level of privilege. Her experiences, her life, and her future matter, too. The fact she is a point of national contention is harmful.

Segregation and discrimination of a highly marginalized group is also "unfair." This is not about women's sports. That is virtue signaling. This does not only affect trans women and girls (See Olympic boxer controversy). Legal and socially acceptable oppression is still oppression.

This is a child participating in a game with her peers and cast out due to her identity.

This is not about sports or biological advantage. It is about restricting spaces that trans people are allowed to exist and feel safe. It is legalized and "socially acceptable" discrimination and segregation.

Switching to an affirming name and pronouns, expressing gender through clothes, hair, make up, etc., and with items like chest binders are all non-medical and all support and affirm gender transition.

I haven't done a Gilmore Girls rewatch in a while. It used to be a winter staple to get me through the drudgery.
