UFO 50 (2024) / Nintendo Switch: A real compilation of real games made by a fictional company for a fictional PC. 51 good games with creative gimmicks, although nothing that blew me away.

That a demo I played for an hour made my Top 5 speaks to how little I played my PlayStation 5 this year. 🫤

My 2025 PlayStation Wrap-Up leaves something to be desired.

Foreman. 2008-2025. My heart is broken. 😭

There was a book challenge at some point that I never finished, so I threw all my choices into a single image. Significant books, I believe the criteria was. Not necessarily favorites.

I refuse to use subtly when discussing Popeyes.

My pathetic Twitch stats. I barely watched anything, at least compared to previous years, and streamed even less. I need to find a new community to recapture that enthusiasm for the platform.

Z.A.T.O.: I Love the World and Everything In It (2025) / Steam: An excellent Visual Novel with a strong voice and unconventional heroine. Story leaves enough questions to invite speculation.

I can't decide if this reaction towards a fake confession letter is depressingly optimistic or just depressing.

Dear me, I was… (2025) / Nintendo Switch 2: An interactive story with beautiful audio/visual presentation and next to no gameplay. Story had sweet moments, but was otherwise fluff.

Alone in the Dark (1992) / DOS: A rough draft of Resident Evil released years earlier. Combat is hilarious inept, not helped by getting stun-locked, but at least puzzles rarely rely on moon logic.

Jack in the Dark (1993) / DOS: A child-friendly promotional game for Alone in the Dark 2. Puzzles aren't too obtuse, and runtime is less than an hour. There's nothing special here.

Ah, excellent. Further opportunities to reveal that I’m a massive nerd. 🤓

New month, new novel! This month, I’m ignoring that we’re in November by embracing horror.

My old man. (He is, I believe, 80 in cat years.)

Mini & Max from UFO 50 is a fantastic palate cleanser after Silksong. Shrinking multiple times gives exploration a whole different feel, and death is a slap on the wrist.

Plus, helping ants results in being immortalized in a most lovely fashion.

Hollow Knight: Silksong (2025) / Nintendo Switch 2: A fun and challenging 'Metroidvania' stuffed with content, often hidden. Unfortunately, Act 3 killed a majority of my enjoyment.

Ah, there we go. Retro Nintendo console and retro Nintendo handheld together at last.

I didn’t realize that Suikoden 2 was secretly a Fire Emblem game. 😲

It’s such a pleasant day that I walked a bit downtown, checking out the ArtPrize exhibits (artprize.org). I also sat down with a Coke and watched people come and go. It was quite nice.
