Also wanted to say I think the last 10 or so issues get particularly wordy and pretentious, and I can't say it was my favorite stretch of the run despite some genuinely insane ideas and stories taking place lmao. Final issue was very good, though.

Year one into long Halloween unblockable 48% meterless combo

Dante's inferno with superheroes sounds kinda crazy, but it genuinely worked perfectly in this run. Thematically and plot-wise it was just a complete layup. This dude Alan almost made me cry for a literal swamp monster. Some of these panels are gonna be etched into my brain permanently I fear.

If they made a full fledged horror movie out of it and just let Raimi do whatever he wanted I'm thinking it's cinema. Still liked it a lot though.
