Original image, and then what I got out of Paint after 2 hours of doing colors and layers. The difference between the 2D final, and then 2D with Animated effects is WILD. I'm in love, and there's no way I'm not doing more of this in the future.

I took a #VRChat screenshot I took over the weekend and transformed it into something amazing!

It sure could be better, but I'm super excited with my sudden fucking around. A quick paintover turned into a full deepdive with #WallpaperEngine

Bluesky compresses it quite a bit, its on steam tho!

And with all that, its now 12/10/24.

I finished up everything enough with the Beta, where she's ready for my backers. I gave out the files today, and I eagerly await to see what my supporters do. They were so generous and patient with me.

Now, slowly, the feedback reports start to trickle in!

From here on out, it was just fixing things and preparing the Beta for the Backer distribution!

It took so long to get here, and in some way, the project corruption for the Prototype, ended up a better product for the Beta.

11/28/24 - Demo walk / run animation, with physics, and feature switches.

I had to re-record this 3 times because of issues.
The animation was also meant for a size far more normal, so there's some clipping.

I never get to see my models in motion so this is amazing to me.

Now, 11/27/24. The beta remake finally gets its face expression remake. I directly watched episodes from the anime, paused, and attempted to remake them with my model.

I was also bug fixing the programming to make this all work at this time. The reskins, physic switches, clothing options.

11/20/24 - The FX Pack overhaul

This was something I had created 2 years ago, and it was far outdated. I wanted to give Suletta far more life, and this required a full artistic redo.

Brand new options, layers and expression capabilities.

As the unity source files were lost, the only thing left to do, was finish the swimsuit in blender, make a new better version and in the meantime, hold my supporters over with some VRChat demos.

New inspiration was taking influence though! The Brazil tanned #Miku trend, and I wanted to include it

The date is now 10/4/24, and I delayed the Prototype distribution for the swimsuit. How much of a larger issue that would be in the soon future.

10/13/24, my entire project corrupted and failed. The Prototype was destroyed.

Time for rebuilding, remaking, and doing it all better.

More 'Prototype' tests - this time in full nude, and showing those unity shaders in the dark.

I really like how these came out.

One thing you can notice is how the breasts dont fully seam with the body, this was fixed later.

From here, I was then planning on the swimsuit.

Like I said before, I wanted this character model to be able to do anything, and inside #VRChat, people are into, everything.

I created a physics system that would react with the floor, for the feet and toes. Also a puppet system to flex and splay them, because, its fun to do.

Ohhh, what come's next - Its been almost an hour of recording data down here.

I've never actually shown what its like behind the scenes, except just randomly posting WIPs to my servers and places.
Only elaborated, when asked, and now its all here!

A large set of face expressions and combos, made for the Prototype build. These were referencing a few photos to match, but mostly made from the top of my head.

With the Beta remake, all face expressions were directly referenced from the #Witch_From_Mercury anime

Unity shaders set up, round 1. At this point the model was called the 'Prototype'.

It was intended to be distributed when all issues we're released, but a Project corruption and failure led to it being destroyed.

It was remade as the 'Beta' which are labels you might see here after used.

More texturing, didn't have a before for the feet but it did not look great originally due to directional shadow baking from #Blender Just how it is.

The boots got a nice refresh too.

And then finally, the next day, she was ported into unity.

Face expressions is something that takes time, and you need good reference. I had made the basics, but I wanted to be able to do more.

I still, need to do more, but there will be multiple times in this thread where you can see all the different possibilities.

I wanted to make sure this model had the capability to do anything, from any angle. The goal was to make sure she looked great, and held the artist's style.

Part of that, is making sure whats unseen, is properly done too.

I remodelled the feet - from here on out, there was no more modelling.
