Nola.com reporting that suspect is Shamsud Din Jabbar and was flying an ISIS Flag on the back of the truck.
ABC is reporting the truck is rented through the Turo app and there is a fire at an Air BnB in the St. Roch neighborhood that is possibly related to this suspect.

Just FYI- I lived in N.O. for many years and still have close ties to the area. I live only 2 hours away now and still go back often. This is very personal for me. I've been in that 100 block of Bourbon more times than I can count. That Krystals was usually my last stop of the night 😢

Troy Carter (D-LA) just said that it was a lone person from the local metropolitan area??? Guess we will have to wait until 11am to learn more as this is conflicting information from what other local officials have been sharing.

Local councilman just said they don't believe the suspect was acting alone. Also- local news reporting that 2 devices have been detonated in the French Quarter.

The only show I watch every Sunday is the CBS News Sunday Morning...after that, straight football or fluff for me. I'll catch what I need to know politically from the shows on here 🦋
