art as escapism is fine but art cannot JUST be escapism, art cannot always be comforting, or make you happy, or bring you joy. sometimes art does the opposite, for a reason (or not!), and that kind of art is just as important too, if not more sometimes

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

Some inking advice I always give is that you need do more than just trace your pencils. You should still be drawing when inking. They should be additive. And I really cant think of a better example than this vid. Watching this guy ink a beautiful bg out of some super loose pencils is mesmerizing
