I almost beat Pontiff on the second try
A couple of people are pointing out that Clair Obscur used gen AI, but the thing that really kills me is that they didn't disclose it! And Steam is just fine with that I guess! And no journalist will investigate bc the internet is so feral about this game!

Went to the local Assyrian restaurant for the first time and it was absolutely phenomenal! We got pickled eggplant, cheese za'atar flatbread, a chicken porridge-type dish, duck confit, orange blossom creme brulee, and tahini pie. Everything was so delicious! I really hope this restaurant makes it 🥲

Frankenstein was so so good!! What a refreshing thing, a fully realized work of art. You can tell GDT poured his heart into this movie, as did everyone else who worked on it.

Not getting any big headlines, but my town unfortunately has an anti-trans children streak.
We voted for 4 school commission positions, and managed to elect 2 people who specifically ran to protect trans kids.
I wish it was all 4, but I'm glad these kids have people looking out for them 🏳️⚧️

It's so wild to me that people are chill with "a little" AI in their games, in an industry plagued with crunch and layoffs. Gen AI will absolutely be used to justify treating workers like shit. Why extend timelines to avoid crunch when you can just generate everything?
I'm getting real tired of not being able to trust that a video game doesn't have AI crap in it:

This might come across as more than a little blunt, but please bare with me. A lot of people completely dismiss or even hate indie games and what's being unsaid here is they want is something mainstream from major studios with advertising and popular enough that the zeitgeist allows them to play it.
I see people saying this sort of thing often, and quite frankly it makes me sad. The truth is, more people are making good adventure games now than were ever made during the “golden age” of the 90s. For example: 🧵
