That sort of racism that is prevalent within a “progressive” community and is fully unacknowledged is super scary. You can’t ever fix a problem like that without acknowledging the problem exists

You have the same problem in a really progressive but segregated city like Boston. It’s interesting that I’ve happened to be a fan of two very similar cities in that vein where they have a massive well-known racism problem that locals refuse to admit exists

This is the problem with a lack of diversity in anywhere in the world. Places where there are no minorities tend to be places where minorities are harassed and considered to be problematic or leeches

Places with minorities realise they’re great and just like them and have little to no issue
