I wonder which option the "no reposters" object to, or is it both?

* They use the term "repost" as well. Maybe the two are indistinguishable and interchangeable in their minds. 🤷‍♂️

Several posts –news items, those of up-and-coming artists, fund raising, announcements, openings, events, etc., etc.– depend on being "quote posted".

If it's an amazing photo, e.g. Anna Sereno's?

Many photographers and artists want their work spread far and wide, for obvious reasons.

It's totally understandable that someone might not want their images difused across the web. Your policy of not posting it in the first place is by far the best.

You must have a fascinating thoughtscape!

e.g. I like and repost Tony's beach photo most mornings because they're good photos, and Tony posts them presumably so that they can be seen and enjoyed. A repost hopefully widens the reach so that more people can also see and enjoy them.

Something, of course, I abhor.

What can I say.

Precisely.

Reposts are how we see content we otherwise wouldn't see.

Never quite understood why people don't like reposts. It's part of the ethos of social media. As long as it's an actual repost and not a "steal the photo and post it as your own".

(My bio says "Re-posts encouraged." 🤣)

Seriously. If someone doesn't want their photos reposted (or used elsewhere), they shouldn't post photos.

This is the internet. Such a warning, even with every post, means nothing to some people.

A strange approach.

I don't think anyone would descrbe your pics as boring!
