“Universally,” no, but there’s value even in just bringing up the issue through a survey. Once you start digging into what exactly people object to, I think there’s less disapproval than we think—if we can counter misperceptions. And allowing any “public” nudity at all doesn’t mean no restrictions.

Thank you for this perspective. I feel like: Someone is embracing nudity; I embrace nudism; why do I cut this person off because of the particular way they embrace it? Plus it’s their own body. If someone else doesn’t like it, it seems counter to body acceptance to say “We don’t want to see that.”

Yes! And all the traffic that entails. 😉 I’m still almost always at inland spots in the woods to go nude, but that’s a treat when I can make it down there.

It’s the US holiday weekend marking the unofficial end of summer, and while I made it to inland swimming holes lots of times, I didn’t visit the nude ocean beach this year.
